Annual Memorial Day Parade (4th Monday in May)

The annual Memorial Day Parade was scheduled to be held this year on Monday, May 29, 2017. Starting at 10:00 A.M. at Veterans Park in Norwalk, and ending at the Town Green on East Avenue.

Bands participating in past years include the Norwalk Fire Department Pipe Band, the Norwalk High School Marching Bears, the Brien McMahon High School Marching Senators, bands from West Rocks, Roton, Ponus Ridge, Nathan Hale Middle Schools.

A host of civic organizations, Scout troops, youthful athletic teams, and community groups also marched, in the parade, with prizes awarded for the best parade floats. We look forward to this year’s parade, and hope to make it even more successful than previous years events.

In 2017, Memorial Day will be observed on Monday, May 29, which will be when Norwalk scheduled its annual Memorial Day Parade to honor the men and women who died while serving in this country’s armed forces.

Organizations interested in applying to participate in the 2017 parade are asked to please read and agree to our standing parade policies before submitting your application.
